  • Les Dagger, one of Preston North End's most popular footballers of the 1950's, has sadly died this morning, Wednesday, 9th March, in hospital.

  • Les, who was aged 77, played with and against the best footballers of his era. He proudly represented Preston at football, cricket and table tennis, as well as being a fair golfer too. He will be sorely missed by friends and family alike. Our Association sends its condolences to the family.
